MIT DEPARTMENT

The Department of Multimedia and Internet Technology (MIT) is one of the Departments in the Information Technology Discipline in the Tsing Yi Nexus. Its major focus is on the multimedia applications and Internet technologies in various applications.


Currently MIT offers four full time courses and five part time courses:

The MIT Department aims to collect in one place a wide range of industry standard hardware and software for the production of multimedia products, and has studios for video and sound recording, post-production, Game Technology & Visualisation Centre , 3D Animation & Visual Set Laboratory, human computer interaction as well as the Digital Enterprise Resources Centre.

The facilities are used in conjunction with classes on computer game design, e-business and multimedia production so students will learn modern techniques for developing Internet applications and digital entertainment. The department's courses also aim to develop students' key skills for employment, as well as for their personal and future professional development.
